Their skewers are worth the try, especially the pork and wagyu ones. I liked the concept of the live open kitchen whilst dining.
Feels like a traditional Isakaya, ordering is easy thru QR code and service is so fast.

Great food - Okonomiyaki are great (if a little short on cabbage for me, but hey, that's the beauty of this dish, in that there's so many personal variations!). Staff were very friendly, and almost felt like we were back in Japan 😎👍
Fantastic little Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend if you’re after a really high quality meal and some nice Sapporo beer.

I’ve made this place one of my regulars on a Sunday evening.
Another brilliant night at Hiss & Smoke. Food, as always, was exceptional and the ambience wonderfull. Stand out part of the evening was the service and attention received from Dat. He exudes a genuine happiness to all he serves, and his sense of humour (stand-up comedian worthy) and ability to “read the room” and engage everyone at the table is fantastic. He even let us put a pic up on the wall which topped off one the best family nights out in a long time!

Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It took me a while to navigate the menu but once the food came we loved it! Took the photo mid-meal as it was disappearing fast. Recommend the Tofu Agadashi! And everyone else.

Great bang for your buck and delicious food.
The skewers were cooked impeccably well and had us coming back for more.
The staff were lovely and with the teppanyaki style kitchen, it gave much more ambiance being able to watch the incredibly skilled chefs working.
The well designed interior gives this place a nostalgic yet authentic feel similar to a Japanese Yatai (food cart).
I’m hoping eventually new branches open in other states too.
However, for now, whenever I come to Perth next I’ll be making a special trip to visit this place.
10/10 would reccomend
